Much Ado About Nothing

Much Ado About Nothing has always been one of the more popular comedies Shakespeare wrote, not just for the excellent use of humour, but the complex characters and touchingly sweet love stories found in the play.

At its heart, this is a play driven by characters rather than plot. Benedick and Beatrice’s witty dialogue masking clear sexual tension; Hero and Claudio’s sweet and sincere love for each other; Don John as the perfect pantomime villain; and Dogberry and Verge perfect in their incompetence.

The Canterbury Shakespeare Festival first staged this production in 2017, and again in 2018, and we are delighted to bring you this online version staring the talented actors which help make CSF the success that it is. We hope you enjoy watching our production of Much Ado About Nothing as much as we enjoyed recording it!

And please follow the link below if you would like to make a donation so we can keep producing our wonderful festival for many years to come.
