Shakespeare returns to Ludlow Fringe for an outdoor performance of his most famous History play, Henry V, set in the perfect location of Ludlow Castle.
It is 1415, and after succeeding to the throne of England, Henry lays claims to land in France that he believes to be rightfully his. England is now at war, and what follows leads Henry and his army to that most famous of battles, Agincourt. But along the way, we meet hilarious characters on both sides of the Channel to provide the humour...and yes there will be a fight with real leeks. This production promises to be a spectacle with great drama, laughter and sword fights. O, for a muse of Fire...
This is an open air performance so do come prepared - come light rain or shine the show will go on. The castle gates open at 6pm, so please do fee free to bring along a picnic and your own chairs to soak up the castle atmosphere ahead of the battles to come!
