magic, trademark fez and quick-fire gags made him an international star
and a true icon of the 20th Century. Now, 30 years since his untimely
passing, the appetite for his surreal slapstick, classic routines and snappy
one-liners, he continues to be re-discovered by old and new fans alike.

untimely passing, has enjoyed enormous success nationwide and features
classic favourites such as “spoon-jar”, “bottle-glass” and the hilarious
“Hats” routine, combined with hidden gems and bumbling magic from
Cooper’s extensive back catalogue.

John Hewer (Tommy Cooper)
John trained in Drama and Scriptwriting at the Northumbria University and
was awarded the Fellow Studentship Award. Since forming Hambledon
Productions in 2007, he has appeared in Charley’s Aunt, Hancock’s Half
Hour: The Lost Episodes and Just Like That! The Tommy Cooper Show
alongside pieces of his new-writing A Hard Act to Follow, STOP!... You’re
Killing Me and A Fistful of Spaghetti.

Christopher trained at City University London and Guildhall School of
Music and Drama. Previous composing credits include Tango Boceto (The
Aquinas Piano Trio), Darling... Have You Seen My Structural Surveys?
(Louth Playgoers) and Animal Instinct (Aeracura Theatre Group). He also
works as a vocal arranger for numerous musical theatre performers in the
