Ludlow Fringe Festival is a not-for-profit community interest group, set up to promote and support the wealth of local creative talent in Ludlow and the Marches. The festival is staffed mainly by volunteers and is funded entirely through ticket sales, donations and sponsorship. Events are run at over 40 venues throughout the town and, with over 100 events, caters for all tastes and encourages plenty of footfall throughout the town.
2015 proved to be our biggest year yet with some amazing highlights including our fabulous Fringe Finale in Ludlow Castle with our excellent home grown musicians providing a great range of music as backing to our headliners - Electic Swing Circus - and not to forget our surprise guest appearance from Robert Plant. Also, a wicked line-up of top comedians including Mark Thomas, Joe Lycett, Gary Delaney, Justin Moorhouse and Kate Smurthwaite.
Highlights from 2014’s line-up included: fantastic comedy nights with Andrew Lawrence and Christian Reilly; a Young Writer's Festival with the acclaimed Pentabus theatre company; cabaret; provocative theatre from Cameryn Moore; Shakespeare at the Brewery from our friends at Rooftop Theatre company with their sell-out success of The Comedy Of Errors; live music galore - from folk to rock and the biggest ever Art Trail to date.
Plans for 2016 include: a Maker's Market, an Art Trail throughout the town (including workshops and activities); a full range of Fringe theatre, Street Theatre, live music from local, national and international, musicians, live comedy from rising and established comedy stars; theatre; literary and poetry events... plus Shakespeare by the river bought to you by the fabulous Lord Chamberlain's Men.
With your support we will secure even more!
A HUGE THANK YOU to our sponsors for 2015 - here's the roll call of last year's supporters ...
